"Songs about Jaim" is my attempt to jot down any noteworthy thought, activity, adventure, or interesting anecdote of my existence. Everything I write here is a "lyric" in the 22nd verse of my life. Come sing along by my side as I sail through Ithaka.

First Week of Summer

"If you never try, then you'll never know"

I love weekends, birthday cake, new shoes, coldplay, sunshine, jager blasters, sleeping in till 1:00, Madonna, Taco Bell, Jay's laptop, overtime pay, my mom, jacuzzis, Philip and his quirkiness, new friends, Garden State, my wonder twin, my tall friends, Sex and the City, MS, jellybeans, the word crazy.

I don't like Bills, spending money on alcohol, annoying people, cleaning my room, saying goodbye, feeling hungover, pink eye, jeans that are too long, being so white, the wind, drunk drivers.

New words:
Krasivye gloza= nice shirt
Da=yes
Nyet=no

Techno Flashback of the week:
Iio-Rapture
"Then I sooooar like a bird in the wind, oh I glide as im flyin through heaven"
(I glid through the air -- thats for you)

S-M-A-R-T

Hiya Kiddies...well SCHOOL'S OUT FOR...SUMMER!!! and I got a 3.7 for spring quarter, which..drumroll please...is THE best ive ever done so far. I didn't think I was even going to get a 3.0 this quarter, so when I saw my grades I screamed really loud :) GO ME! GOSH im such a genius. p.s. so are all my friends who got good grades too. (i only hang out with cute and smart people btw)

But there was also sad times when my dear friend Jon Furuyama graduated and moved to LA. :( I went to see the science and math ceremony, and it was lovely. Jon decorated his hat with the cover of the Pchem text book. YAY JF! I got to hang out with him a bit the week before on our Los Oscillators outing, which was an eventful night. And he brought me Jack in the Box fries at midnite one night. I heart Jon. I'll miss the smartest guy I know. :( Also, congrats to Katy Wong, Rea Lardelli, and Dan Sisti for graduating too. My pchem favorites....no mas :(

So its summer now, and it is absolutely fabulous. I started working 40 hours a week but its not so bad because Jay and I switch off day and night shifts. It's not so repetitive and I have some days to just sleep in and relax. Last week all the girls went out downtown Tues and Thurs nite which was a blast!! We met some really cool new people, and now we have the whole summer to look forward to more fun times. Joanna and I managed to get to the Cal Poly pool last week as well... im thinking about buying a pass to use the pool all summer. YAY.

Joanna's 22nd birthday was Wednesday, but we celebrated Tuesday night and we went to the Cliffs for some drinks and headed to Brads for some awesome fish and chips. We went to Mothers and had some jager blasters and "rolled deep" with Joanna and her many male followers. Happy 22 my love.

Summer movies so far:
Mr. and Mrs. Smith 4/5 stars Brad Pitt is hot.
The Perfect Man 3/5 stars Hilary Duff has cute bangs. I H AIM.

Upcoming:
Shannon's 22nd Bday Wednesday June 22nd.
Mom and Philip come Thursday

X&Y

Go buy the new Coldplay album NOW!!! You won't regret it, its amazing...it makes my heart warm, and soothes me. If you want to understand me, listen carefully....

My song is love
Love to the loveless shown
And it goes on
You don't have to be alone

Your heavy heart
Is made of stone
And it's so hard to see you clearly
You don't have to be on your own
You don't have to be on your own

And I'm not gonna take it back
And I'm not gonna say I don't mean that
You're the target that I'm aiming at
Gonna get that message home

My song is love
My song is love unknown
But I'm on fire for you, clearly
You don't have to be alone
You don't have to be on your own

And I'm not gonna take it back
Oh, I'm not gonna say I don't mean that
You're the target that I'm aiming at
And I'm nothing on my own
Got to get that message home

And I'm not gonna stand and wait
I'm not gonna leave it until it's much too late
On a platform, I'm gonna stand and say
That I'm nothing on my own
And I love you, please come home

My song is love, is love unknown
And I've got to get that message home.

The Perfect Love Song

"Steal my heart and hold my tongue, I feel my time, my time has come.
Let me in, unlock the door, I've never felt this way before.
The wheels just keep on turning, the drummer begins to drum, I dunno which way im going, I dunno which way I've come.
Hold my hand inside your hands, I need someone who understands.
I need someone someone who heals, for you I've waited all these years.
For you I'd wait 'til kingdom come, until my day, my day is done.
And say you'll come, and set me free, just say you'll wait, you'll wait for me.
In your tears, and in your blood, in your fire, and the flood, I hear your laugh, I heard you sing, I wouldnt change a single thing.
For you I'd wait 'til kingdom come, until my days, my days are done.
Say you'll come, and set me free. just say you'll wait, you'll wait for me."

Mission with the free drinks that were left on the table Posted by Hello

Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial day weekend started on Thursday night after working late at the lab. My girls were ready with a shot of vodka for me when I got home! You know where we headed....via PF. Mother's was packed as usual, and Helya and I danced the night away. Then, walking to PF's car we experienced Brownian Motion...haha..im so funny. Rachel and I made quesadillas when we got home and spilled water all over the kitchen floor because we are retarded.

Friday, pchem was canceled and I ditched computers for poets...so we went shopping instead. The new Abercrombie opened Thursday so of course we had to check it out. Rachel, Jo and I all bought the same pair of jeans...aka..magic pants. I walked downtown a bit with Helya and enjoyed the beautiful day. Friday night, Rachel and I went back downtown after awaiting Kara's arrival on stupid ass Amtrak. We went to mission for once...to check out DJ Hollaback and met some cute boys with nice teeth. ;) Mothers was our final destination which was pretty blurry...Rachel hit her record number of drinks, and I came close...but we all had a good time!

Saturday we were all hung over until about 3:00, and I pretty much relaxed all day. Saturday night we tunneled through the quantum barrier and ignored hot boys at Mothers. ??? We literally sat at on the stools and stared at the strange people, the boys in the hats, and the freaky dancers. It was a weird weird night, but definitely an experience.

Sunday was beach day but it was cold and windy and my legs got burned, so it wasn't very successful. Later that evening, Tylia, Jo, Shannon, Michelle and I all met at Avila to take pictures on the beach and have a lovely crab dinner at the Custom House. It was incredible and the most beautiful evening with beautiful friends. Sex and the City kept me company for the rest of the night....and my favorite quote: "He's ONLINE!!!!!!!!!!!! Can he see me!!?!?!" (as Carrie ducks under her desk) HAHA that cracks me up every time.

Monday I went grocery shopping, wrote a lab report, cleaned up, and started a paper. It was definitely a nice day off, and a relaxing, fun weekend. I love my dear friends and I can't wait to have an even more exciting summer together.
